The Details
Cost: The following three weekend plans are available (food is optional):
1)
$75+$25/food (5meals) + farm
lodging for Fri/Sat nights, Total $100 Weekend Package (Friday-Sunday):
includes
all dances, workshops, and Sat/Sun meals.
2) $50+$20/food
(4 meals) + farm lodging for Sat night, all Saturday
& Sunday $70 Weekend Package:
includes
dance studio, Saturday night contra dance, yoga & meditation workshops,
bands, dance workshops, group activities.
3) $10+$10/food
(2 meals) + farm lodging for Sat night, Saturday
Afternoon $20 package for Cajun class/Sat Night
Chattanooga contra dancing
& Sunday morning: includes 3 pm Saturday afternoon Cajun dance
classes, Saturday
night contra dance
and 2 meals (Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast); this is same program as
Chattanooga
Traditional Dance Society offers at “Pert Near” contra
mini-weekend).
4) Children
under 12 pay $25 for the total weekend plus $15/food; must be supervised.
5)
All food is optional; advance
reservations are required no later than June 24 for meal plans; single meals
only if available.
Chef
Steve Herndon will serve five tasty vegetarian meals in the
Split Tree kitchen.
A few work exchange dancers are needed for kitchen assistance. Email: busman71 [@] catt.com.
Lodging: $10/night air-conditioned house or studio floor
space. Or for barn or tent/car camping. Split
Tree has limited house/bed space but ample studio floor space.
For more privacy enjoy camping on adjacent scenic pasture in the NW
Georgia Mountains. Or use a large barn for sheltered camping next to the
studio. Bring usual camping supplies:
bedding, towels, soap, flashlight, etc. Outdoor showers are available for
easy access for campers but all house facilities
are open to all participants.

General Considerations: Must wear clean
non-street, non-marking, soft-sole shoes for dancing to
preserve our beautiful floor. Children must be supervised at all times.
No pets or alcohol allowed. Avoid strong perfumes. Smoking is
strongly discouraged and
is not allowed near any building or non-smokers.
Pre‑registration required but last minute dancers may call to see if
space is available.
