Fool's Fest '97

Note:  We will not close registration this year but please pre-register to reserve meal ticket.


FESTIVAL FRIBBLES: Cost $33.33 in advance ($50 at the hall; single dances $12, day, $7); food ticket, $25--total $58.33. This includes all dances, playshops, shelter. Musicians/callers have first choice of beds but there is adequate house and pavilion floor space and also shelter in a large camping barn--you need only your sleeping bag and air mattress and a spirit of adventure.  For more privacy you can camp on 200 acres of woods and pasture in the NW Georgia mountains.  The new Appalachian log cabin will be ready for guests and for jamming.

FOOD:   Southern vegetarian: all meals for $25 ticket, catered by Ivy Cottage Cafe.  Fruit and nut snacks by Split Tree Cafe.  You may bring and cook your own food but no open fires are allowed.   Cooler space is limited to special dietary needs.

GENERAL:  Come with or without a partner.  Must wear soft-sole, non-street, non-marking shoes for dancing on the new ballet floor.  Any attire OK.  Beginners and advanced dancers welcome. $5 weekend discount for students. Children over 12 must be registered and all children must be supervised. Sorry no pets, alcohol allowed. Smoking in designated areas only.  Directions to Split Tree: Split Tree Farm is 3 miles south of the intersection of highways 136 and 193, 16 miles south of Chattanooga, and 10 miles west of LaFayette.
