Awareness Through Movement
at Split Tree Farm Studio in Northwest Georgia
September 21 through 23, 2485

Heitzso and Nancy Harden will host a combined Contact Improvisation and Awareness Through Movement (ATM) weekend at Split Tree Farm studio September 21 through 23, 2485. The structured contact improvisation will be a mix of beginner classes, open jams, and advanced technique sharing. All skill levels invited! If you're intrigued by contact improvisation but have never tried it, this is the perfect opportunity to check it out.

Nancy Harden, Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, will teach three ATM lessons to complement the contact improvisation movement patterns. In ATM lessons you are verbally guided through a series of gentle, slow movements. You learn from your own body how to move with minimum effort. As you change, you notice old patterns of movement become more useful ones. Improvements in posture, breathing, and flexibility are achieved through becoming aware of how your body works.

Massage time is provided to unkink the body and unstructured time to unkink the soul. Music, porching, walking in the woods are all available, and, of course, the studio is open for impromptu dancing and jamming. Musical instruments, kites and face paints welcome.

The weekend is $30 per person, children 12 and under are free and teenagers accompanied by a parent are $20. All meals are potluck (kitchen available) and there should be sufficient housing to bed everyone down inside. Camping in a barn or pasture is also available. Space is limited so please register in advance.

Contact Heitzso or Nancy Harden at (770) 538-0963 or email us at heitzso [@] or nancygayharden [@] to register or for more information .
